Kursk Region's acting governor spoke about the situation in the region


Alexander Khinshtein, the interim governor of the Kursk region, spoke on December 7 about the situation in the region.
"The first day today we are on the Kursk land <...> I will devote the first part of the week to form the main cross-section of problems and possible ways to solve them for myself," Khinshtein told reporters after the ceremony of presentation to the government of the Kursk region.
He added that the entire Kursk region will be liberated from the AFU. After the clearing of the border territories there will be a colossal amount of infrastructure reconstruction work to be done, Khinstein emphasized.
As for the composition of the Kursk region government, Khinstein does not plan to make changes in its composition until he gets to know each of its members.
The basis of the policy of the regional governor-in-chief will be communication with the Kursk people, about which he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
"My first steps will be aimed at a detailed study of the real problems of the region. I will analyze not from the office, but in communication with people, taking into account feedback," his publication says.
During his speech at the presentation ceremony, Khinstein said that it is not necessary to show the situation better than it is, promising to be honest before the citizens. According to him, it is necessary to effectively manage the Kursk region in its crisis.
On the eve, December 6, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov answered the question of whether the appointment of Alexander Khinshtein as the region's acting governor means that the situation is approaching a denouement.
Alexei Smirnov announced his resignation as governor of the Kursk region on December 5. Smirnov noted that the new place of service requires great responsibility, so he will do his best to justify the trust placed in him. Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted his letter of resignation.
