The Syrian Air Force and the Russian Air Force launched strikes on militant clusters in Homs

Aircraft of the Syrian Air Force and the Russian Armed Forces launched joint strikes on clusters of members of banned armed groups in Homs province, destroying dozens of militants. This was reported by the SAR Defense Ministry on its Facebook page on December 7 (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia).

"Our forces operating in the countryside of Hama and Homs are conducting intensive artillery and rocket fire on terrorists' positions and their supply lines, resulting in direct losses in their ranks. Joint Syrian-Russian warplanes also carried out pinpoint strikes on terrorist concentrations in the northeastern countryside of Homs, suppressing dozens of them," the agency said in a statement.

According to the SANA agency, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) with the support of the Russian Air and Space Forces eliminated 2,500 terrorists of Jebhat al-Nusra (an organization banned in Russia) over the past week.

On November 29, the SAA launched a counteroffensive against the positions of militants of the extremist group "Jebhat al-Nusra", who captured more than 20 settlements to the north and west of the city of Aleppo, and during the fighting liberated the city of al-Bakum. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called the terrorists' activation part of the US plan amid Israel's defeat in Lebanon. At the same time, the White House denied its involvement in the events.

In turn, Britain, the U.S., France and Germany called on all parties in Syria to de-escalate, and Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia strongly condemns the terrorists' outburst and reminded that the Russian Armed Forces are acting in Syria at the request of the legitimate authorities in Damascus and fight back against terrorists.

Later, on December 5, it was reported that the Russian and Syrian Air Forces destroyed at least 300 terrorists in the SAR within a day. The operation was carried out in the provinces of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo. After that, on December 7, the Syrian Defense Ministry reported that SAA servicemen together with the Russian air force defeated terrorist groups in the north of Homs province.
