The head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, has instructed to conduct an investigation into the fact of possible sales of infants by employees of a maternity hospital in Primorye. This was reported on December 7 in the Telegram-channel of the department.

"The head of the agency instructed the acting head of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Primorsky Krai Kuzmichev A.G. to organize a procedural check and submit a report on the arguments of the story," - stated in the publication.

The verification is connected with the fact that the federal channel aired the story of a woman who 12 years ago gave birth to a daughter in a maternity hospital in Primorsky Krai, but the staff of the institution assured her that the infant had died. According to the mother, her child was given to a childless family. The story specified that possible incidents with illegal actions of medical workers of this nature in this maternity hospital are not isolated.

The day before, December 6, it was reported that in Orenburg, a man tried to sell his one-and-a-half-year-old son for 1.5 million rubles. The man entered into negotiations with those willing to buy the child a few days ago, while the baby's mother was serving a prison sentence.
