A peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine will trigger the process of the country's self-disintegration. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, on December 7.

"The process of peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis will launch the process of Ukraine's self-disintegration," he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

Konstantinov believes that this will happen against the background of the population's realization of the real price paid for Kiev's policies, in particular the country's President Vladimir Zelensky, whose term of office expired in May.

In addition, he said, Ukraine may not survive a new presidential election due to the lack of a defining idea, which will entail its self-disintegration into separate territories.

Earlier, on November 28, the head of the Crimean Interethnic Mission Zaur Smirnov called the words of the head of Zelensky's office Andrei Yermak about the condition for the start of negotiations between Kiev and Moscow - the return of Ukraine's border to the state as of February 23, 2022 - as empty talk. Smirnov pointed out that the disintegration of Ukraine has already happened, this is confirmed by referendums that took place in 2014 in Crimea and in 2022 in the new regions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 18 that Russia was ready to engage in a dialog on the peaceful end of the conflict in Ukraine, but only on the basis of the 2022 Istanbul agreements. The Russian Federation, more than anyone else, is interested in ending the special operation as soon as possible and by peaceful means, he added.

The last round of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow. On October 4 of the same year, Zelensky introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of the country on the impossibility of holding talks with Putin.
