Russians have been told about a fraudulent scheme with MHI policies

Fraudsters have created a new scheme in which they gain access to "Gosusluga" of Russians through their compulsory health insurance (CHI) policies. This was reported on December 7 by Alla Khrapunova, an expert of the "People's Front" project "For the Rights of Borrowers", curator of the platform "Moshelovka".
The expert pointed out that scam artists call their victims and inform them that their policy may be deactivated.
"To date, we have recorded the stories of fraudsters that because of the mandatory data update a person's current policy will stop working," she said in conversation with "RIA Novosti".
In such a situation, fraudsters pursue the goal of obtaining an authentication code from SMS, which makes it possible to enter a personal account on the portal "Gosuslugb", continued Khrapunova.
"We remind everyone the main rule: the code from SMS can not be reported under any circumstances. It is like the keys to your apartment, because no one will give them to some stranger, no matter what he said," - warned the interlocutor of the agency.
She reminded that insurance companies do all policy updates themselves, and old policies on "Gosuslugi" are updated automatically.
Earlier, on December 4, Igor Bederov, founder of the company "Internet Search" and director of the investigation department of T.Hunter, told "Izvestia" about a new type of fraud - spoofing. In the course of it, an attacker masquerades as another person, company or object in order to gain the user's trust.
