Mishustin signed a decree on the establishment of awards in the field of medical science

Russia has established awards in the field of medical science. This was announced by the Russian government in its Telegram channel on Saturday, December 7.

The prizes will be awarded for the first time in 2025. The decree on their establishment was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"Prizes in the amount of 1 million rubles each will be awarded to domestic scientists for developments that help preserve human life and health and make it possible to cope with previously unsolved issues of medicine," the report says.

It is specified that the awards will be given for achievements in preventive and personalized medicine, in the field of neurotechnologies and biomedical technologies.

"Prize winners will be determined by the government based on the decision of the interdepartmental council, the composition of which will be approved by the Ministry of Health", - added in the government.

It is noted that annually on March 1 will start the competition for the selection of nominees, and the award ceremony will be held no later than November 30.
