Air defense forces shot down four drones overnight over Russian regions

The Russian Air Defense Forces have destroyed four Ukrainian drones overnight over the Astrakhan, Voronezh and Belgorod regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 7.

It is specified that two drones were shot down over the Belgorod region and one each over the Astrakhan and Voronezh regions. The destroyed drones were of the airplane type, the ministry added.

On the previous day, it was reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed 33 Ukrainian drones and two uncrewed boats during the night of December 6. It was specified that 14 drones were eliminated over the territory of Voronezh region, 11 - over Kursk region, seven - over Belgorod region and one - over Crimea.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
