Doctor Vinogradov told about the signs of a stroke

On December 7, Sergey Vinogradov, a resuscitation doctor and founder of the company of remote medical examinations "Pre-stroke", spoke about how to understand that you have a stroke.
"If you suspect a stroke, check the person's sensitivity. To do this, you can lightly prick the right and left sides of the body, for example, with a straightened paper clip," Gazeta.ru quoted the expert as saying.
He explained that if one of the sides of the human body does not react well or at all to physical touch, it may be a sign of a pathological process. Vinogradov added that the first signs that should alert are facial misalignment, loss of sensation and impaired movement.
The resuscitator pointed out the importance of understanding the differences between stroke and heart attack, because the course, mechanism and consequences of these diseases are fundamentally different.
While a heart attack is directly related to the blockage of a vessel and the resulting lack of blood supply, a stroke occurs due to a rupture of the vessel walls. As a result, blood gradually enters the brain tissue, while causing mechanical damage to it.
The doctor added that more attention should be paid to prevention. He advised people to move, eat the right food and deal with stress properly.
Earlier, on November 24, chief researcher of the Federal State Budget Institution "E.I. Chazov Cardiology Center" of the Ministry of Health of Russia, chief cardiologist of the Central Federal District Sergei Provatorov told "Izvestia" that myocardial infarction and stroke are the leading causes of death among adults worldwide. At the same time, a significant part of strokes is associated with atherosclerotic lesions of the brain arteries, which provoke atherosclerotic plaques - they form in the vessels and interfere with the normal blood supply to the organs.
