- Marochko reported a decrease in the intensity of counterattacks by the AFU near Svatovo in the LPR

The intensity of counterattacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) fighters near the Svatovo settlement in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has decreased. This was reported by military expert Andrei Marochko on December 7.
"We are holding the line of defense near Svatovo. The enemy is conducting some counterattacks, but in their intensity they are much lower than on the same on the Kupyansk direction or on the Donetsk direction. In general, the situation on this section of the front is stable," TASS quoted him as saying.
Marochko noted that Russian units are carrying out major strikes on Ukrainian militant units deployed near the settlements of Kopanka, Makeyevka and Terny. He also pointed to a "small advance" of the Russian Armed Forces troops near the locality of Nevskoye.
Earlier, on November 24, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of an AFU combat vehicle in the LNR. It is specified that the object was found in a wooded area. The strike was made on military equipment with the help of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). As a result of the actions of the Russian army, the object was liquidated, which is confirmed by objective control footage obtained in real time.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
