Saldo found the "Korean scenario" of ending the conflict in Ukraine unacceptable

"Korean scenario", which is proposed by US President-elect Donald Trump, is unacceptable for ending the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by the Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo on December 7.
"The scenario of freezing the conflict, as on the Korean Peninsula, is absolutely unacceptable for Russia," - quotes his words "RIA Novosti".
He specified that Russian President Vladimir Putin called a just peace, which would ensure the country's security and restore historical justice, the main goal in ending the Ukrainian conflict.
Saldo specified that the freezing of the conflict can only cause the accumulation of contradictions and will be only a temporary solution, but will not be able to fully ensure peace.
Earlier, on November 9, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that Trump might insist on the "Korean scenario" to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This scenario consists in signing a ceasefire between the conflicting countries and demilitarizing certain zones on the frozen borders.
On November 7, WSJ wrote that Trump's team is already discussing a new plan to end the conflict in Ukraine. It includes several main points, according to which the front line is frozen and a demilitarized zone is declared along its length. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed the opinion that the publication is abstract and resembles the plan itself.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
