Military groups of troops "Vostok" eliminated up to 140 AFU fighters over the day

Russian servicemen of the Eastern group of troops eliminated up to 140 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight, as well as destroyed two self-propelled artillery units and two armored combat vehicles HMMWV of the Ukrainian army. This was reported on December 7 by the head of the press center of the Eastern group of troops Oleg Chekhov.

"During the day, the enemy lost up to 140 servicemen, two HMMWV armored fighting vehicles, two self-propelled artillery units - Bogdana and Akatsia, two aircraft-type UAVs," he told RIA Novosti.

In addition, according to Chekhov, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) military has improved its position along the front line. The Russian army fighters have prevented the AFU from reinforcing forward positions, conducting rotations, advancing reserves and bringing in ammunition in the areas of Komar, Novy Komar, Dniproenergiya and Neskuchnoye.

Also, units of the Vostok force group disrupted the actions of three Ukrainian army engineering groups in the areas of Mirny and Gulyaypolye. According to Chekhov's information, Russian artillerymen hit strongholds, places of accumulation of manpower and equipment of AFU units in the areas of Razliv, Razdolnoye and Novy Komar.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that FPV drone calculations of the tank unit of the "Zapad" group of forces had destroyed manpower, dugouts and shelters of the AFU militants in the area of the special military operation (SMO).

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
