A UAV account destroyed an AFU vehicle on the Kurakhov direction
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the motorized rifle brigade of the separate Guards Army of the Southern Group of Forces has destroyed a vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kurakhov direction of the special military operation. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 7.
It is reported that unmanned aviation units of a separate motorized rifle brigade during the special military operation (SMO) actively use quadrocopters with drops to destroy enemy manpower and equipment. At the same time, after launching an attack quadrocopter with ammunition attached to the drops, the UAV successfully overcame the line of contact.
The agency specified that the drone operator began reconnaissance of targets in the rear of the enemy, found a car with servicemen of the AFU. Controlling the quadrocopter, the operator flew up to the car moving at high speed and carried out a drop of grenade fragmentation rounds. The target was damaged from the first hit, and after stopping, the vehicle was completely destroyed by a direct hit from the second ammunition.
Earlier, on December 6, servicemen of the "North" troop group destroyed a Ukrainian armored fighting vehicle with militants in Kharkiv region. The target was successfully eliminated using an FPV drone.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
