CSKA Moscow defeated Torpedo by shootout in the KHL match

CSKA Moscow defeated Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in a shootout in a regular season match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

The meeting took place on Friday, December 6, in Nizhny Novgorod. The main time of the match and overtime ended with the score 1:1. The winners scored a goal by forward Vitaly Abramov in the 31st minute, and the opposing team scored a goal by forward Egor Vinogradov in the 46th minute. Abramov was the author of the winning shootout.

CSKA has 43 points after 32 games and is in fourth place in the Western Conference standings. "Torpedo" with 36 points in 33 games is in eighth place.

In the next game CSKA will play away against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, and Torpedo will host Lada Togliatti at home. Both meetings will be held on Sunday, December 8.

Earlier, on December 4, CSKA defeated Vityaz Moscow Region in overtime in the KHL regular season match with a score of 2:1. Forward Derek Barak scored for Vityaz and forward Maxim Sorokin scored for CSKA. In the first seconds of overtime, CSKA forward Pavel Karnaukhov scored the game-winner for his team.
