The Syrian Defense Ministry reported a successful operation in Homs

Syrian servicemen together with the Russian air force were able to successfully conduct an operation and defeat terrorist units in the north of Homs province. This was reported by the country's Defense Ministry on December 5 on its Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist, banned in Russia).
"Our valiant armed forces under the cover of joint Syrian-Russian aviation, artillery, missiles and armored vehicles are conducting a qualitative operation in the direction of the settlements of al-Dar al-Kabira, Tell Bisa, Al-Rastan in the north of Homs", - stated in the message of the press service.
It is specified that due to precise joint actions of the Syrian and Russian servicemen managed to destroy a large amount of equipment and weapons, as well as the living force of terrorists.
Earlier, on December 5, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian and Syrian air forces destroyed at least 300 terrorists in the SAR over the day. He specified that the operation was carried out in the provinces of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo.
At the same time, SANA agency wrote that the Syrian army redeployed its forces outside the city of Hama in order to save the lives of civilians. At the same time, on December 3, the Syrian Defense Ministry reported about the establishment of full control over the city.
The day before that, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia strongly condemns the sortie in Syria by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham terrorists (the organization is recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia). The post-representative drew attention to the fact that the United States and its allies are supporting the militants in order to "sow chaos in Syria." He recalled that the Russian Armed Forces are operating in Syria at the request of the legitimate authorities in Damascus and are fighting back against the terrorists.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on November 30 called the activation of terrorists in Syria part of the US plan against the backdrop of Israel's defeat in Lebanon. In turn, the White House denied its involvement in what is happening. In addition, Britain, the United States, France and Germany called on all parties in Syria to de-escalate.
Before that, on November 29, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a counter-offensive against the positions of militants of the extremist group "Jebhat al-Nusra" (terrorist organization banned in Russia), who captured more than 20 settlements to the north and west of the city of Aleppo, and during the fighting liberated the city of al-Bakum.
