The bodies of two men have been found on the border with Romania, where they tried to illegally enter from the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the country's state border service on 6 December.

According to the service, one of them froze in a mountainous area 200 meters from the border. In addition, rescuers evacuated from the mountain slopes several more Ukrainian evaders.

"Another body was found in the Tisa River near the Romanian settlement Kimpulung la Tisa. The circumstances and the identity of the deceased are being clarified", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on November 23, it became known that the Ukrainian border guards detained four men who evaded conscription in the AFU, who paid $10 thousand to the guide and tried to swim across the river Tisa on an inflatable boat. The agency specified that the evaders were detained at the border between Ukraine and Hungary.

Before that, on September 6, Ukrainian evaders attempted to escape to Belarus through a minefield. The State Border Service of Ukraine emphasized that the men "almost blew themselves up".

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired on May 20) signed the law on toughening mobilization on April 16. The document lists the categories of citizens who are subject to conscription. In addition, it toughens penalties for evading service in the AFU, but there are no provisions on demobilization.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended it. Most men aged between 18 and 60 are banned from leaving the country.
