Anti-aircraft gunners of the 169th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 25th Combined Arms Army of the "West" group of forces destroy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Serebryansky Forestry District of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). Images of the combat work of the Russian military are published by Izvestia.

It is reported that several enemy drones began flying over the Serebryansky forest. The anti-aircraft unit went on combat duty with the crew to shoot down the drones.

As Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak noted, after the anti-aircraft launcher fired, ruptures could be heard far in the sky, probably there were hits on enemy aerial targets.

Such anti-aircraft installations were invented by members of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) with the appearance of a large number of enemy drones in the sky. In an anti-aircraft gun, the structure on top is detachable. At the same time, it is often welded to wheeled vehicles, if anti-aircraft gunners have to work on a flat surface. However, for the Serebryansky forestry area, the MT-LB is better suited because the tracked vehicle has greater cross-country capability.

"It consists of six weights linked together by a Kevlar thread. It wraps around the target, entangling the propellers. We also use ordinary ones with shot," said the commander of the anti-aircraft artillery battery with the call sign April.

Earlier, on November 21, fighters of the group of troops "West" with the help of howitzer D-30 destroyed the ammunition depot of the AFU in Serebryansky forestry. The servicemen noted that during the offensive in Terny and near Serebryanka, the D-30 has its peak days. Thus, one gun can fire more than 30 shells per day.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
