A cynologist gave advice on protecting dogs from cuts and reagents in winter

President of the Russian Cynological Federation Vladimir Golubev has warned of the dangers that can befall dogs in winter, and gave advice on how to protect pets during a walk.

In a conversation with Radio 1 on Friday, December 6, the expert warned that in winter a pet can easily injure its paws, get frostbite and even get allergies due to reagents.

In this regard, the dog owner needs to take care of the safety of his dog in advance. So, you need to buy special shoes, treat paws and do not forget about care procedures at home. Animals who flatly refuse to wear winter shoes, a protective cream or wax will be suitable. They are applied to pre-washed and dry paws before a walk.

If the dog walks without shoes, after each walk it is necessary to thoroughly wash the paws of the pet, without missing the space between the toes. After washing them, they should be wiped dry with a towel.

You can also purchase paw moisturizers to prevent cracking. If the dog has a long hair between the toes, it should be clipped: snow can get blocked there and freeze, which will cause pain to the animal.

Golubev added that on a walk should not allow the pet to jump into piles of snow. He also urged to avoid walking on ice.

December 5, Vladimir Golubev in a conversation with the agency of city news "Moscow" recommended to treat dogs from ticks and fleas even in winter. You can not give, for example, the pet pills from ticks, and use only sprays or drops on the withers. The fact is that you can meet these insects on the street: for example, walking near heating pipes.

In November, cynologist Sergei Fokin advised to explain to the dog that he does good or bad. Trust between the owner and the pet is that "the owner should be equal with the dog, but at the same time a little higher than it, to be its leader," reports 360.ru.

Also in November, cynologist Ilya Ryzhanushkin told how to protect your dog from doghunters. According to him, it is important to follow the pet on the street. It is also recommended to teach the dog to spit out on command everything it has grabbed, writes RT.

Burmatov added that doghunters not only commit a criminal offense themselves, scattering poison on the street, but also promote this cruelty on the Internet, posting recipes for these poisons, writes NSN.
