Air defense forces destroyed two AFU drones over Astrakhan and Belgorod regions

Russian air defenses have destroyed two Ukrainian drones over the Astrakhan and Belgorod regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on 6 December.
The ministry specified that the attacks were foiled that day between 20:10 and 20:50 Moscow time.
"Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by on-duty air defense means over the territories of the Astrakhan and Belgorod regions," the report said.
Earlier in the day, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said that Russian air defense and electronic warfare (EW) assets had eliminated several drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the region.
Before that, on December 5, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces had destroyed two AFU drones over the Black Sea. The Ministry specified that two Ukrainian drones were destroyed by on-duty air defense forces.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
