Kiriyenko said that the songs written during the SWO will become folk songs

The songs written during the Special Military Operation (SMO) will become folk songs. This was announced on December 6 by First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko at the gala concert of the festival "Ballads of the Special Military Operation - Time Chose Us".

"Songs born in the special military operation will also become folk and all favorite songs about our great common victory," Kirienko said from the stage.

In addition, he noted that the festival is a contribution to the victory, uniting fighters on the front line and those waiting for them at home, as well as the whole of Russia.

"First of all I want to say a huge thank you to those guys, I see a lot of participants of the special military operation in the hall, someone has already returned home, someone is temporarily on vacation, guys, low bow to you and thank you very much," Kirienko said.

The first deputy head of the presidential administration also expressed gratitude to the wives, mothers and relatives of the veterans of the SVO.

The gala concert of the music festival "Ballads of the Special Military Operation - Time Chose Us" was held that day at the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army in Moscow.

Earlier, on October 18, the Defense Ministry reported that Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yulia Chicherina together with soloists of the front brigade of the song and dance ensemble of the Central Military District (CMD) performed for the soldiers of the tank unit of the "Center" group of troops in the special operation zone. On the improvised stage Chicherina and other artists performed not only patriotic songs, but also their own compositions.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
