Self-propelled floating crane SPK-61150 joined the Baltic Fleet


Marine self-propelled floating crane SPK-61150 has joined the Baltic Fleet support vessels. This was reported by the Baltic Fleet press service on December 6.
A solemn flag hoisting ceremony of the Baltic Fleet took place on SPK-61150. Deputy Fleet Commander for Logistics Captain First Rank Andrei Popov presented the flag to the captain of the floating crane and congratulated the crew.
The crew of the vessel consists of qualified specialists. The press service of the fleet noted the sailors' great experience and their practice on similar floating cranes.
It is specified that SPK-61150 is designed for loading of discharge and ordinary cargoes on surface ships and submarines both at the berth and at the roadstead. It is designed to lift cargoes up to 150 tons, can withstand sea waves up to three points and overcome shallow ice.
The Baltic Fleet press service pointed to the vessel's autonomy, which is ten days in terms of food reserves.
"During the construction of SPK-61150, the latest technologies were used, modern equipment was installed, workplaces are maximally automated, and comfortable conditions were created for the personnel to live in. The vessel has a medical unit for pre-hospital care, equipped with necessary medicines, equipment and even a defibrillator. If necessary, a paramedic is seconded to the crew", - emphasized in the press service of the fleet.
Earlier, on November 15, the press service of the Baltic Fleet reported that the patrol ship "Neustrastashimy" (SCR) finished its long-distance voyage and returned to its permanent home base in Baltiysk, having accomplished its tasks in the areas of the World Ocean.
