According to Article 94 of the Labor Code, a daily shift cannot exceed four hours for workers 14-15 years old, five hours for workers under 16, and seven hours for workers under 18. And minors combining work with studies may work only 2.5 hours per day (if the employee is 14-16 years old) or four hours (up to 18 years old). During the vacation period, working hours for those combining can be increased.
According to the LC, teenagers who have received general education can be engaged to perform light labor, provided that there is a written consent of their legal representatives. If the child is still receiving general education, he can only work in his free time.
Employers should also take into account that teenagers are not allowed to carry and move heavy loads, reminded lawyer Timur Faizov.
