A house for servicemen will be built in Kubinka

A ceremonial laying of an apartment building for servicemen of the 45th Special Forces Brigade of the Airborne Troops took place in Kubinka near Moscow, the press service of Sberbank, which is supporting the construction, reported.

The event was attended by Sberbank President and Chairman of the Board Herman Gref, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Airborne Forces Deputy Commander Anatoly Kontsevoi and 45th Brigade Commander Vadim Pankov.

"Those who went through the school of the army, the school of special forces, know firsthand what it is to defend the Motherland. Behind the backs of these guys we feel confident. There is a good Russian saying "My home is my fortress". These guys are the fortress of our country. And it is a great honor for us to build a fortress for them and their families, so that everything was in order in their rear," said German Gref.

The house will consist of two sections of 12 floors. One floor will be underground: a parking lot for 150 cars is planned there. The house will house 334 apartments, their total area is 23.5 thousand square meters. m.

"We are located on the territory of a special military unit, which for decades has been showing its best professional qualities in the defense of our homeland. There are many valiant units in the Moscow region, and we try to always be close to both officers and personnel, and, of course, to the residents of the cities where they are deployed," said Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov.

In turn, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov thanked the project participants for helping the servicemen.

"On behalf of the Minister of Defense and the guys who today are worthily performing their combat tasks, I express my great gratitude. The construction of this house is a great motivator for servicemen, because they know that no matter where they perform their tasks, the state will always find an opportunity to do everything to ensure that the rear is covered," he said.

The construction of the house is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
