Investigative Committee opened a case after a five-year-old girl fell from the window of a kindergarten in Kurgan

In Kurgan, a criminal case has been opened on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements after a five-year-old girl fell from the window of a kindergarten. This is reported by the regional Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee of Russia on Friday, December 6.

The incident occurred in the evening of December 5 in a kindergarten in the Zaozerny neighborhood. A five-year-old girl fell out of the window of the second floor, who was left alone in the locker room of the group.

A criminal case was opened under paragraph "b" part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, intended for children under the age of six years").

According to the city administration, the victim is now in the regional hospital named after the Red Cross.

According to Ura.ru news agency with reference to the source, the girl was left unattended when other children and the teacher went for a walk. Investigators are looking into the circumstances of the incident.
