Ka-52M helicopter crew destroys AFU stronghold in Kursk border region

As part of a mixed tactical group, an Army aviation crew on a Ka-52M helicopter destroyed a stronghold and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a border area of Kursk Region. Images of the combat operation are published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 6.
The missiles were launched at the coordinates of the aviation gunner during a combat mission to support units of the "North" group of troops. The advanced aviation spotter subsequently confirmed the elimination of the target.
After the attack, an anti-missile maneuver was performed at extremely low altitude, as well as the firing of heat cannons that prevent the Ukrainian army's man-portable surface-to-air missile system (MANPADS) missiles from hitting the target.
Earlier in the day, the crew of a Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) destroyed AFU manpower, armored vehicles and military vehicles in the border area of the Kursk Region. The strike with aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK) was carried out on reconnaissance targets.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
