In the State Duma explained the change in the rules of registration of sick leave by abuses

The new procedure for the formation of sick leaves according to the project of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation will protect against situations when a person abuses their number. This was announced on December 6 by Alexei Kurinniy, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection.

"We are not talking about the maximum duration of the sick leave, but about the period that the doctor can issue alone. In the general case, he issues for ten days. And here it turns out that if a person is often sick, then after three days there should be a medical commission," - said the deputy in conversation with "Gazeta.Ru".

He added that the commission will make the assessment of a person's condition more objective. According to Kurinnoy, this will act as a protective measure against abuse of the number of sick leaves by employees.

The deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection noted that accounting for the number of sick leaves will also prevent abuse by doctors.

"If a person's health condition requires a longer period of time, naturally, the medical commission will extend his sick leave," Kurinniy summarized.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the order of formation of sick leave is planned to change from September 1, 2025. It was specified that at the moment the project is at the stage of summarizing the results of its public discussion. According to the updated regulations, the number of certificates of incapacity for work issued to an individual citizen will be taken into account for the timely detection and prevention of serious diseases.

Before that, on December 6, the head of the faction "Fair Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov proposed to introduce indexation of sick leave. The Deputy asks in order to respect the rights of citizens to health care and social protection to consider the possibility of making changes to the procedure for calculating and paying compensation for sick leave.
