This was reported on December 6 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in Bashkiria.
"Based on the results of an investigative inspection, a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers")," the department said in its Telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, the boy was playing a role-playing game together with other children, sitting on a specially equipped chair with a moving mechanism. Falling from it, the boy injured his spine.
During the investigative inspection, law enforcers inspected the scene, interviewed visitors, employees and management of the institution. In addition, the investigators demanded the necessary documentation, and a forensic medical examination was appointed for the injured child.
Having initiated a criminal case, the republican IC began to collect the evidence base to assess the actions of the employees and owners of the entertainment establishment from a legal point of view.
Earlier, on November 26, a six-year-old boy in Moscow received severe burns while playing laser tag. He leaned his foot against the hole of the smoke generator, from where hot air was coming out. The child was treated for three weeks. The laser tag staff said they offered compensation of 20,000 rubles and another free visit, but the boy's mother called it a mockery and added that she would most likely settle the matter in court.
