Man killed in drunken road accident in Chelyabinsk region

In the Uvelsky district of the Chelyabinsk region, a man was killed as a result of a car overturned under the control of a drunk driver. The regional State Traffic Inspectorate reports about it in its Telegram-channel.

The accident occurred the night before, December 5, on the fourth km of the road Uvelsky - Maloye Shumakovo. The 41-year-old driver of the VAZ-2110 exceeded the speed limit, lost control and skidded. The car flew off the roadway into the ditch and overturned.

As a result of the accident, the 61-year-old passenger of the "ten" received various injuries, from which he died on the spot. According to the Ura.ru news agency , he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

According to the traffic police, the driver of the car was driving under the influence of alcohol, and the car itself was not registered in the prescribed manner. On the fact of the fatal accident a check is organized.

In the coming weekend police officers will conduct total checks on the roads of the Chelyabinsk region to identify drunk drivers, note in the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
