In the city of Augsburg in Bavaria (Germany) detained 37-year-old Iraqi refugee Ali Al-Ji on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack at a Christmas fair. This was reported by the Welt TV channel on December 6.

"Police arrested him on suspicion of terrorism. Bavarian authorities want to deport him, and in an unusual way", - stated in the material.

Law enforcement officers found evidence on his phone. It is specified that in the profile of the refugee in Instagram (belongs to the organization Meta, recognized in the Russian Federation extremist) published videos with nasheeds, which radical Islamists use to spread ideology.

According to the police, one of the videos shows a possible preparation of a terrorist attack. A photo of a masked supporter of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS, banned in Russia) was also superimposed on one of the videos.

Earlier, on December 2, in the city of Elmshron (Schleswig-Holstein) detained a 17-year-old teenager on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack at a Christmas fair. The suspect had intended to drive a truck into the crowd before Christmas and had taken driving lessons specifically for this purpose.
