The Russian Armed Forces destroyed a Ukrainian UAS using an FPV drone in the Kursk border area

The FPV drone of a unit of the "North" group of forces has destroyed a self-propelled artillery unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. The corresponding footage was published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 6.

"Air reconnaissance means of one of the units of the "North" group of troops in the border area of Kursk region detected a self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) of the AFU hidden in a forest belt," the defense ministry said in a statement.

After analyzing the intelligence, a decision was made to destroy the enemy artillery.

The footage shows the exact hit of a combat drone on the Ukrainian SAU.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that the crew of a Su-34 multirole supersonic fighter-bomber of the Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) struck a cluster of personnel, armored and vehicle military equipment of the AFU in the border area of the Kursk region. The ministry noted that the strike was carried out with aviation bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPK) on reconnaissance targets.

On the previous day, the FPV drone of the "North" group of troops destroyed a Ukrainian tank in the Kursk border area. Images of objective control came in real time. They show an attack drone striking a moving AFU tank.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
