Russians have increased spending on health in 2024. The average check in pharmacies in cities with a million inhabitants increased by 13.5% compared to 2023 and amounted to 434.55 rubles, according to the data of SberSpasibo analysts, which were reviewed by Izvestia on December 6.

The highest figure was recorded in Moscow and St. Petersburg: residents of these cities spend 556 rubles and 510 rubles, respectively. The second place is occupied by Nizhny Novgorod with the figure of 456 rubles, followed by Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg, where consumers spend an average of 450 rubles in pharmacies. The lowest check was in Perm and amounted to 386 rubles.

According to experts, Russians' spending on medical services has also increased. Thus, in the fall, the indicator increased by 23% compared to the same period last year. The average check in cities with a million inhabitants amounted to 1890 rubles. The highest figure is among residents of the capital and St. Petersburg. They spend 2885 rubles and 2550 rubles respectively. The lowest costs were observed in Omsk, where the average check amounted to 1400 rubles.

Earlier, on October 17, it was reported that drugs for gastrointestinal diseases during the year became more expensive than other drugs - their cost increased by 25%. This was reported to "Izvestia" by analysts of "Contour.Market". The second place in price growth was taken by drugs for the respiratory system - their cost increased by 10%. The most stable in price and demand were drugs for diabetes and allergies. The average check for diabetes drugs did not change and amounted to 403 rubles, the average check for allergy drugs also remained at the same level - 274 rubles.
