Media in India highlighted Lavrov's threat to the US in an interview with Carlson

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov issued a threat to the US when he spoke about a live test of the Oreshnik missile system in an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson. This was reported by The Times of India on December 6.
It noted that Lavrov said in the interview that the US and its allies should take Russia's signals, such as the test of the Oreshnik, seriously. The newspaper called the minister's words a chilling threat.
Lavrov's interview with Carlson was published earlier in the day. In it, the Russian foreign minister recalled that Western countries are supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons, and the Russian Federation, in turn, will be ready to use any means to prevent the United States and its satellites from succeeding in their attempts to inflict a strategic defeat on it, and the launch of "Oreshnik" was meant to signal just that. The minister also told Carlson that Washington was alerted by Moscow about the flight of the "Nutshell" half an hour before its launch, and added that the US was waging a hybrid war against Russian Federation.
The combat test of the Oreshnik ballistic missile, one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Nov. 21. He specified that the move was in response to the escalation in Ukraine by Western countries.
In the following days, the head of state clarified that Russia would continue these tests and that the decision on the serial production of missiles had already been made. He also revealed that the Oreshnik has 10 separating blocks that attack the target and everything in the epicenter of the explosion turns to dust.
