Summary of special operations in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas has been carried out by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the Russian military launched six group strikes with high-precision weapons and drone strikes on energy facilities, facilities supporting the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and the infrastructure of military airfields. The Defense Ministry noted that all the goals were achieved.

Also, units of the Southern Group of Forces liberated the settlements of Ilyinka and Romanovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, units of the Center Group of Forces took control of Petrovka and Pustynka in the DNR, and units of Dnipro struck the manpower and equipment of four mechanized and infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and three brigades of the terodorone.

The Defense Ministry added that in the area of responsibility of the "West" group of troops, the militants lost more than 3,565 servicemen, a Leopard tank, nine armored combat vehicles, including two M113 armored personnel carriers, 36 vehicles and 15 field artillery guns, including seven howitzers of 155 mm caliber manufactured by NATO countries.

"Air defense means shot down a long-range Neptune guided missile, four rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 441 unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type," the report noted.

Maritime aviation of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed eight uncrewed boats of the AFU. During the week on the line surrendered 61 Ukrainian servicemen.

In total, 649 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 37,354 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,685 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,497 multiple rocket launchers, 19,085 field artillery and mortar guns, 29,061 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
