Newly elected U.S. President-elect Republican Donald Trump received the Patriot of the Year award at the annual Fox Nation Patriots Awards in New York on December 6.

In his acceptance speech, Trump spoke about his campaign and said the country is already seeing the fruits of his victory.

"We just had a terrific election," the New York Post quoted the politician as saying.

He also noted that more has happened in the last two weeks than in the last four years, adding that "America will be great again."

On the same day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson called Trump a strong, willing to achieve results and does not like to postpone things for later man.

All of them involve territorial concessions from Kiev. The proposals also share some commonalities, including taking Ukraine's NATO membership off the table. In addition, in particular, Grenell's plan suggests the creation of an autonomous zone in eastern Ukraine. Some points caused a sharp reaction from Kiev and the EU. It is noted that the main goal is to sit Moscow and Kiev at the negotiating table.

On November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Lavrov said then that Moscow would wait for proposals in this regard and was ready to consider them.

The election of the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world. Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20, 2025.
