Emergency warning declared in Magadan region due to winds

Weather forecasters have warned of stronger winds in the Magadan region this weekend. Local residents are advised to be careful.

According to forecasts, on December 7, the wind speed will reach 17-22 m/s. Emergencies may arise in Olsk, Omsukchan and North-Even districts. This is reported by IA MagadanMedia.

Rescuers do not exclude incidents associated with the breakage of power lines and communications, the formation of snow drifts on the roads, the increase in the number of accidents. Due to the wind there may be disruptions in the work of housing and utilities.

In the Kamchatka region due to the onset of the cyclone at the weekend snowfalls are expected. Wind speed will reach 15-20 m/s.
