The Russian military has carried out six drone strikes and precision-guided weapons against the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) and the country's military-industrial complex (MIC) facilities over the course of the week. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 6.

"From November 30 to December 6 this year, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out six group strikes with high-precision weapons and strike drones on energy facilities that support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, infrastructure of military airfields, assembly and storage sites of unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.

In addition, the strikes hit an electronic intelligence center, arsenals and ammunition depots, locations of Ukrainian army units, special operations forces and foreign mercenaries. All six strikes fully achieved their targets.

The Defense Ministry added that during the week, 61 Ukrainian military personnel surrendered to Russian fighters on the line of contact.

In addition, the ministry said that units of the "East" and "Center" groups of forces had liberated the settlements of Sukhiye Yaly and Pustynka in the Donetsk People's Republic.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry showed how the Russian Armed Forces carried out an airstrike on the temporary deployment point of an AFU National Guard unit in the locality of Pravdovka in the DNR. Three FAB-250 aerial bombs with universal planning and correction modules were used in the operation. The Ukrainian army facility was destroyed in the strike.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
