Surrendered AFU serviceman told about training in Poland

A serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Yevhen Goch, said on 6 December that he had surrendered to Russian troops in Kursk Region.
He specified that during the fighting in the Olgovsky forest in the Koreneevsky district he found himself in a partial and then complete encirclement together with other fighters.
"Moved away from the position, I was wounded in the arm and on the stomach still. We started to withdraw: two people sort of managed to move away, three surrendered as prisoners," he stated.
Goch specified that before the special military operation he worked at the nuclear power plant in Energodar.
"At that time I thought I had a reservation, I was even given a piece of paper," he said.
Later, employees of the military enlistment office came to him with a summons. The captured serviceman noted that he tried to escape, but was unsuccessful. After undergoing general military training, he was sent to Poland to attend junior officers' courses.
On 5 December, captured AFU serviceman Maksym Nazarenko told how he was forcibly mobilized. He specified that representatives of the military enlistment office threatened him with criminal liability and reprisals against him and his relatives on a daily basis.
Ukraine has been under martial law since February 2022. Then the President of the country Volodymyr Zelensky (term of office expired on May 20) signed a decree on general mobilization, its effect was repeatedly extended. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on toughening mobilization.
