Trabzon-Sochi ferry will depart Turkey on January 23

Trabzon-Sochi ferry will depart from Turkey on January 23, 2025. This was announced on December 6 by Sergey Turkmenyan, member of the Board of Directors of the Black Sea Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, CEO of the route organizer SVS Shipping LLC.

The voyage is carried out by the ferry Seabridge under the flag of the Union of Comoros Islands.

"Now officially <...> the flight is scheduled for January 23. It will leave Trabzon and will be in Sochi in the morning on January 24," he told TASS.

According to him, this ferry service is being resumed after 13 years, the last flight was in 2011. Turkmen added that the ferry is already in the ship dock in Turkey, and the final stage of maintenance and preparation of the vessel is currently underway.

Earlier, on November 15, the patrol ship "Neustrastrashimy" returned to the permanent home base in Baltiysk after a long-distance voyage. The ship has fulfilled the previously assigned tasks in the areas of the World Ocean. Its long-distance voyage lasted more than four months, during which the crew sailed about 30,000 nautical miles.
