St. Petersburg car brand Xcite has no plans for new models in 2025

"Avtozavod St. Petersburg", which previously produced Nissan cars, is not planning to launch new models under its Xcite brand next year. Ivan Mironov, general director of the enterprise, told about it, TASS reports on December 6.
According to the top manager, new models "are being discussed, but are not planned yet." He also noted that the plant has produced 20 thousand cars since November 2023. At the same time, back in March, Governor Alexander Beglov said that Avtozavod St. Petersburg plans to produce up to 25 thousand cars under the Xcite brand by the end of 2024.
"Now we are discussing financial parameters with our partner and orienting ourselves to our market. Our production plan will depend on this. The market is going down very badly right now. We can ramp up production very quickly. But we cannot work on stock. The cars have to be sold. We produce as many as we can sell," Mironov shared.
On November 14, Avtozavod St. Petersburg presented Xcite X-Cross 8 crossover, which became the second model of the brand. It is offered in three configurations. The most affordable front-wheel-drive version is estimated at 2.99 million rubles, in the maximum version the crossover costs 3.4 million rubles. Sales of Xcite X-Cross 7 started in Russia at the end of May.
