Investigation asks to extend arrest of businessman who blew up car in Moscow


The investigation has filed a petition with the court to extend the arrest of Russian businessman Vitaly Slobodyanik, accused of blowing up the car of his business partner. Information about this was published on December 6 in the case file.
Cheremushkinski District Court of Moscow will consider the petition on December 10.
Slobodyanik was arrested on charges of attempted murder committed in a generally dangerous way. He does not admit guilt.
Theexplosion of the businessman's car in Moscow occurred on October 15. Two men received shrapnel wounds and a child received a head dissection. All three were hospitalized.
According to the version of the investigation, the suspect put a package on the hood to the windshield of the car of his business partner - Viktor Mishachev, disguising an improvised explosive device. The explosion went off when Mishachev tried to remove the package.
A criminal case was opened under part 3 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "e" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons"). In the evening of the same day, law enforcers detained the suspect on a hot trail. He turned out to be Slobodyanik - a resident of Moscow, born in 1973, during searches at his home was found a cache of weapons.
Later, on October 17, Cheremushkinsky district court arrested Slobodyanik until December 15.
