On the eve of the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, the Alley of Heroes was opened on the territory of the main temple of the Russian Federal Guard in the Moscow region. This was reported by the press service of the department on December 6.
Heroes of the Russian Federation - generals and officers of the Rosguard took part in the opening ceremony. Before the event, the rector of the Prince Vladimir Church Archpriest Maxim Belikov and the dean of the Balashikha diocese, Priest Mikhail Konyukhov held a prayer service in honor of the Heroes of the country in the main temple of the department.
"This alley will become a symbol of our unity, and a reminder that together we are able to overcome any difficulties and protect our future," said Deputy Director of the Rosgvardiya, Colonel General Alexei Vorobyev.
He said that the names of 184 servicemen of law enforcement agencies and employees of the Rosgvardia who were awarded the title of Hero of Russia were engraved on the marble slabs. However, 125 of them were awarded posthumously.
The honorary right to cut the symbolic ribbon and open the Alley of Heroes was given to Colonel General Alibek Delimkhanov, Assistant Director of the Rosguard, Hero of the Russian Federation, and Anastasia Potapova, widow of Hero of the Russian Federation Senior Lieutenant Alexander Potapov.
At the end of the event, the Rosgvardiya Exemplary Orchestra performed the national anthem, after which the honor guard company of the F.E. Dzerzhinsky ODON of the National Guard troops marched in a solemn march.
Earlier, on October 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the whole of Russia will always remember the feats of special operation soldiers. He emphasized that the special operation fighters were people with a firm character who were not afraid to go under bullets.
