Car dealers refused New Year discounts for Russians

Traditional New Year discounts on cars in dealerships are not expected this year. This was reported by "Kommersant" on December 6 with reference to the association "Russian Automobile Dealers" (ROAD).

The reason for this dealers call the difficult economic situation, which leads to an increase in prices for new cars. Car dealerships will try to attract the attention of customers with gifts and offers, but not on such a scale as before, specified in ROAD.

Nikolay Ivanov, Director of New Cars Department of "Rolf" company, called the main discount this year the non-increase of prices, and keeping the price in the current realities - the best action. Importers are already sending letters informing about the increase in prices for their products, and for some models the sums reach up to 150 thousand rubles. This is due to the sharp rise in the exchange rate and indexation of the utilization fee.

Also, Deputy General Director for sales of new cars AG "Avilon" Renat Tyukteev noted that discounts more than now are not expected from dealer networks, as the size of the margin does not allow.
