Man's body found in groundwater pit in Transbaikalia

The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a 40-year-old man in the village of Zabaikalsk in the Zabaikalsk region. His body was found in a hole filled with water.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, on December 4, the contractor was installing a power line near a school under construction. The workers dug a hole to install a pole. The hole was filled with groundwater, and the work was stopped in the evening. On December 5, the body of a resident of Aginsky district was found in the hole.

Investigators are examining the scene and identify eyewitnesses.

In the Irkutsk region, a worker died at the enterprise in the Taishet district. He fell from a height of 3.8 meters.
