Russia has strengthened during the Ukrainian conflict, while Ukraine, on the contrary, has weakened. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on December 6.

"Russia has become stronger, Ukraine has weakened, but Europe is also weak, it will not be able to produce enough ammunition to compete with the Russians, and, in fact, it does not think it has the money for it," the politician said, adding that European security needs a new system where America's place will be designated.

To top it all off, he expressed the opinion that America is one of the main protagonists of this conflict, and without the involvement of the States, "none of this would have happened."

"With the arrival of [newly elected U.S. President-elect Republican Donald] Trump, everything will level out," Orban was quoted by Hirado portal.

Earlier, on December 4, it became known that Trump's team has three plans to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This is the plan of special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg, the second scenario - from Vice President-elect JD Vance, and the third is put forward by Richard Grenell, Trump's former acting intelligence chief.

All of them involve territorial concessions from Kiev. The proposals also share some commonalities, including taking Ukraine's NATO membership off the table. In addition, in particular, Grenell's plan suggests the creation of an autonomous zone in eastern Ukraine.

Some points have caused a sharp reaction from Kiev and the European Union (EU). It is noted that the main goal is to sit Moscow and Kiev at the negotiating table.

On November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will wait for proposals to this effect and is ready to consider them.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
