Putin congratulates Kyrgyz President Zhaparov on his birthday


Russia and Kyrgyzstan will continue to work to promote cooperation, integration in Eurasia and security. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in his congratulatory message to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov in honor of his birthday on December 6.
"Dear Sadyr Nurgozhoevich, please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your birthday. Russia highly appreciates your personal contribution to the strengthening of relations of alliance and strategic partnership between our states," the congratulatory message published on the Kremlin's website reads.
Putin said that the two states will continue to work together to further strengthen bilateral ties, develop integration processes in the Eurasian space and ensure regional security.
Earlier, on October 16, Zhaparov said that Kyrgyzstan would not give up cooperation with Russia. He explained that against the background of the special operation conducted by the Russian Federation in Ukraine, European states put pressure on the countries that continue to cooperate with Moscow.
Before that, on October 13, the head of Kyrgyzstan called on the West to stop instructing the country to interact with partners. Then Zhaparov emphasized that he was actively advised to stop interaction with the Kremlin during business trips to European Union countries.
On October 8, Putin said that interaction within the CIS is a top priority for Russia. As the head of state added, Russia considers the CIS countries as friends and strategic partners and is determined to comprehensively strengthen cooperation with them.
