"Police officers were on patrol route when they saw that at the entrance of one of the houses on Smolensk Boulevard, an unknown man takes a black bag from an elderly citizen and quickly leaves", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.
Law enforcers detained the suspect and found in the package more than 1.7 million rubles. The man confessed to the crime and said that he was going to transfer the money to the curators.
According to the victim, she received a call from unknown persons, who convinced her to hand over the money to the courier to place the funds on a "safe account." A criminal case has been opened on this fact, the suspect is in custody. The investigation continues.
