The Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 33 drones and two uncrewed AFU boats in the Russian Federation

Air defense means destroyed 33 Ukrainian drones over four Russian regions last night, and two Ukrainian uncrewed boats were also destroyed. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 6.

"During the past night, attempts by the Kiev regime to commit terrorist attacks with the use of aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation were foiled," the ministry said in a statement in its Telegram channel.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, overnight, 33 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed by on-duty air defense means, 14 of which were destroyed over the territory of the Voronezh region, 11 - over the territory of the Kursk region, seven - over the territory of the Belgorod region and one - over the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

In addition, Black Sea Fleet naval aviation crews destroyed two Ukrainian uncrewed boats, which were heading towards the Crimean peninsula, in the waters of the Black Sea.

Earlier in the day, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said that air defense and electronic warfare (REB) forces had eliminated several AFU drones over the region. He noted that there were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack.

Before that, on December 5, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces destroyed two AFU drones over the waters of the Black Sea. The Ministry specified that two Ukrainian drones were destroyed by on-duty air defense forces.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
