The Msta-B howitzer crew destroyed an AFU UAV control center in the Kherson region

The 152-millimeter towed howitzer 2A65 "Msta-B" of the Dnepr group of troops has destroyed a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kakhovka direction of the special military operation (SMO) in Kherson Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 6.
Russian scouts during patrols with the help of UAVs found in an abandoned house on the right bank of the Dnieper River a control point for the AFU drones and immediately transmitted the exact coordinates to the artillerymen. After that, the Msta-B calculations deployed the gun and hit the target with an accurate hit.
"It is necessary to be constantly on alert. Work on the enemy. We can't relax here," said the gunner of the gun with the call sign Rus.
Artillerymen have to work every day in the most difficult conditions. They have only a few minutes to prepare and fire a shot, but this does not prevent them from unmistakably striking at the positions of the AFU fighters.
Earlier, on December 5, an artillery crew of the Msta-S self-propelled howitzer of the Vostok group of troops destroyed a stronghold and equipment of the AFU militants in the SSO zone.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
