Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson published on December 6, called US President-elect Donald Trump a strong person who does not like to put things off for later.

"I think he's a strong man who wants to achieve results, who doesn't like to put things off for later. That's my impression. He's quite friendly in conversation," he said.

This does not mean that Trump is pro-Russian, the Russian Foreign Minister added.

According to Lavrov, the number of anti-Russian sanctions imposed under the administration of US President Trump has been very high.

"We respect any choice made by people while voting. We respect the choice of the American people. As President Vladimir Putin said, we are open and have always been open for contacts with the current administration," the Minister emphasized, noting that the Russian side has never interrupted contacts with the States in the field of economy, trade, security.

Earlier, on December 4, it became known that the Trump team has three plans to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This is the plan of the special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg, the second scenario from Vice President-elect JD Vance, and the third is put forward by Richard Grenell, Trump's former acting intelligence chief, writes the website kp.ru.

All of them provide for territorial concessions on the part of Kiev, notes NSN. Also, the proposals have some common features, including taking Ukraine's NATO membership off the table, RT specifies. In addition, in particular, Grenell's plan suggests the creation of an autonomous zone in eastern Ukraine, 360.ru notes.

Some points caused a sharp reaction from Kiev and the European Union (EU). It is noted that the main goal is to sit Moscow and Kiev at the negotiating table.

On November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will wait for proposals in this regard and is ready to consider them.

Before that, on November 12, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said that Trump's goal is to prevent World War III. She noted that all diplomatic measures should be tried before sending the US Armed Forces to hot spots, and this is one of the reasons why many Americans voted for Trump.

The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. The next day, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
