Traditionally, festival decorations have a theme. This year it is gingerbread houses, in each of which guests can buy festive souvenirs and taste traditional New Year's treats.

In addition, during the opening ceremony, visitors could watch a show of figure skaters who performed numbers to compositions by Pyotr Tchaikovsky from the ballet "The Nutcracker". As figure skater Tatyana Navka noted, the athletes showed a new interpretation of the traditional story.

"A completely new reading. We took Tchaikovsky as the main motif, but there were also a lot of arrangements to his music, a lot of themes," she said.
