According to the head of the Meteo forecasting center, Alexander Shuvalov, the weekend in the Moscow region will be cloudy weather with snowfalls and warming to zero degrees by Sunday.

"Quite December-like weather will be on Friday and then turn to thaw again," he said.

The weather for the coming weekend is determined by the area of increased atmospheric pressure, said Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a specialist at the Meteonovosti news agency. An atmospheric front will rise along the periphery of the anticyclone retreating to the southeast, so Muscovites are expected cloudy weather with snow on Saturday. At the same time, the minimum values on the thermometer will reach -6 degrees.

In addition, Wildberries noted that among the goods for snow removal the strongest demand grew for de-icing chemicals (+557%). In second place were scrapers (wide shovels. - Ed.) for snow (+464%), and in third place - snow blowers (+359%). The average demand for this category of goods almost doubled compared to the same period last year.

During snowfalls, experts advise motorists to drive slower and keep an increased distance to other cars. This will help to react in time to any changes in the traffic situation and avoid accidents. If the car is bogged down in snow, experts advise to stay in the cabin, turning on the emergency alarm, and call for help. In addition, if possible, you need to shut down the car to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning, and start to avoid freezing.
